Wapiti Lake Pack Wolves • Yellowstone National Park

Please note: This image was photographed from a considerable distance, with the wolves sitting on a hillside in the middle of the day. Because of the heavy crop required, the image appears soft when viewed up close.

To experience it as I did in the field, hold it about three feet from your face. Better yet, display it as a 16×24 print and enjoy it from about ten feet away, where the scene comes to life.
